Oh . . . I am pleased.

No, you did not even come close to overstepping your bounds. Wait until you have a little phoenix of your own; the work it takes to shield kids from the crazy values of their peers' families is immense sometimes.

FWIW, I think both girls were equally careless and irresponsible.

@ Raevyn: Agreed. Sometimes I think there is such a thing as information overload.

@ Pastilla: What a wonderful (wonderfully delicious) idea! I'm definitely going to have to try this with my next cup of coffee. Sounds delicious!

^^ You don't think I over-reached my bounds with my comments, do you? I don't mean to tell someone how to raise their children, but I do mean to make my point clear. It's a tough line to walk.

Also-I do so much wish I had the space and place to build something like my own dream desk. I'd really love to do it...I've heard and seen amazing desks people have made from old doors that they've refurbished.

stroopwaffels --- yum Have you ever tried steaming them over your hot coffee? If you have a narrow coffee cup you can place one on top of the cup and flip it over in about 15-30 seconds (depending on how hot your coffee is). The syrup melts and the cookie part gets more waffle-like. Mmmmm.

I enjoyed your comments on the iPod site.

re: desks We are constantly working under budget constraints . . built a big desk for kurii out of a small Staples desk, a unfinished B grade door ($35) and two file cabinets. The huge slab of wood is strong, (and its door knob hole is perfect for cables) . . .

I had SUCH hope for that FM transmitter. Using it, however, reminded me of just how crowded this world is.
