sense :: hearing // Morcheeba – Ten Men

For anyone who might be curious what it’s like to werk in the DC area, you need only listen to this segment from one of our NPR programs, Metro Connection titled Take This Job and…zzzzzzzz. It’s absolutely brilliant, and well, says it all. It was of particular interest because a lot of the folks here celebrated “bring your sprog to werk” day a few weeks back, and it made me somewhat grateful I don’t have children that could see what I do on a daily basis. Yikes. “Daddy, why are you under that desk?” “Daddy, why does that woman think she’s so important?” “Daddy, why can’t she move that herself?”

Ah, childhood.

I certainly know I wouldn’t want someone to sit and watch what I do every day. Sheesh, I have a hard enough time actually DOING it…
