Apparently one of my clients is having a birthday today. They were really nice and gave me a piece of cake; which I didn’t expect-usually I’m about as invisible as a hole in the wall, but it was really nice of them. Good cake, too.
Given my recent run-ins with Comcast, I thought that this video was especially hilarious. Seriously-it’s about spot on, in my opinion, if the technicians have to wait on hold for an hour before talking to someone up there, imagine how the customers have to deal. Yeah, if I could pay someone else for decent, reliable high speed to my house, I would, but sadly it’s either Comcast cable broadband or Verizon slow-ass DSL. Bleh.
So, like I promised, the lovely Package from Pastilla has indeed arrived, and I have the photos to prove it!
The loot included some sesame and seaweed flavored rice chips, green tea mousse pocky, a copy of Route 225, lovingly worked on by Pastilla herself, and a bottle of Jones Cream Soda, apparently mannequin flavored? Regardless, this weekend we’ll likely be curling up to watch the movie and eat the snacks. Thank you so much, Pastilla!
Also of note, the box smelled really good. Seriously-we opened the box and were like “something smells really really good…” not like, edible good, but fragrant. Mayhap milady’s perfume came in contact with the tissue paper?
In futher thanks, many many thanks to Yukino, who has since moved over to a new blog using Vox, I got a starter invite to comment on posts and such over there! I was playing with the idea of asking her for one, but I decided I wouldn’t be so presumptuous; and lo and behold, the same night she sends me an invite. Thank you, Yukino!
So many new toys to play with. I managed to start installing Windows Vista Beta 2 yesterday (looked like before I just had a bad DVD copy) but now I’m at the point where the installer is incessently asking me for drivers. For cryin’ out loud-just disable whatever it is and move on! ::sigh:: I’ll get this at some point, I swear it! In other geekery, maybe I should work on the NAS server first.
I apologize for being somewhat behind in my MW et al reading. My parental affairs of state have been taking precedence over other affairs of state . . .
re: box perfume The smell you smelled is Calyx by Prescriptives: an attempt to mask the box-that’s-been-in-the-garage-since-Christmas scent.
You two are the most satisfying people in the world to send a package to. 🙂
No apologies required, Pastilla. ^^ Parenting before web surfing? Who woulda thought? ^^
::grin::I rather enjoyed the scent, garage-hiding or no. ^^
Pastilla your perfume was lovely! I detected no garage scent at all!
In fact I’ve been sneaking little sniffs of the tissue paper for the pretty scent. ^_^
