observing pumpkins

I kind of got my wish for a relaxing, quiet, immobile weekend at home this weekend, and I’m grateful for it. A beer or two, some homemade bar food for kicks, and it was a pretty laid back and relaxed Friday and Saturday evening, complete with as much sleep as one person could get. I know I’ve probably ruined myself for Monday morning, but I’m not particularly plussed-I had a chance to relax this weekend, and that makes me incredibly happy.

I know I promised photos of Phoenix Wright: Ace Pumpkin, so without further ado:

If you’re interested in the rest, there aren’t many but they’re all here, including a shot with the lights out.

Sadly, we had to dump Phoenix in the trash outside yesterday-oddly after only a few days his interior was so covered in fuzzy mold that it was near frightening, and he left a puddle of liquid on the coffee table where we had him sitting. As Raevyn took him to the trash, I could see that the back of the pumpkin was already starting to crack and collapse through. Yikes-all that after only 5 days? Maybe we need an air purifier.

In other news, across the country in Los Angeles, the Griffith Observatory just reopened, and BoingBoing has the scoop, complete with videos and things that make me really really wish I were there, along with the personal touch that I absolutely adore Xeni Jardin for-everything she does has a personal feel that I really envy from a journalistic standpoint-she makes the story and the event that much more real and more satisfying by telling us about her grandfather. Anyway, check it out. Someday maybe I’ll visit in person, but for now I’ll settle for the video.

I’m sorry! I thought you knew! It was cracked in the back and starting to buckle in on itself… ::shudder::

No wonder it was a little wobbly…
