beautiful outside

sense :: sight // sunlight filtered through the leaves

Oddly enough, I really do need to sharpen our knives. Some of them are getting pretty dull; although some of the newer ones we bought are still sweet and sharp.

So I’ve all but given up the DC Metblog for the DCist, which I think is far more informative, entertaining, and doesn’t smack of the worst kind of DC snobbery that I’ve always hated about the area. It’s worth looking at if you’re interested in happenings in the area, but I’m still sticking to the Azeroth Metblog, mostly because it’s so entertaining, aside from some of the personal posts. Here’s to hoping that the Azeroth metblog doesn’t get infected with the nonsense I saw at the DC metblog for the short period I was reading it regularly-I can only hope the other city metblogs don’t reek of folks with their noses in the air like the DC one did. But anyway, moving on.

So this weekend we installed Oblivion, and then something like six hours later, we wondered where the day went. Seriously, the game is fanstastic, although I worry that since I didn’t really play Morrowind, I’m missing on some of the intuitive parts of the game, but aside from the fact that the game is ridiculously immersive, entertaining, and graphically beautiful, it’s so addictive that I literally played it for hours straight and wondered what was going on when I got so hungry. Good game, and I want to go home and play some more. Not that I’m giving up my beloved World of Warcraft by any means, but the ability to hop in and out easily and grab some single player immersive action RPG action is too tempting to pass up.

All of this busy-ness however, means I didn’t get a chance to brush up my resume or apply for any new jobs. Maybe tonight, I hope.

Oblivion! It’s so addictive. I’m up to 85 hours. I am so bad.

Oblivion appears to have been aptly named.

Elder Scroll Adventures grown up, then?

@pastilla: Indeed! 🙂 Oblivion is another fine sucessor in the Elder Scroll Adventures line. 😉

@yukino: 85 hours?! Oh wow-I’ve barely scratched the surface then! That’s amazing!

I’m sure there’s at least 200 hours in there, if you look for it! I’m planning on taking a break at 100 hours though, for a long time. I have other Xbox 360 games that haven’t even been taken for a spin yet, and they’re so shiny.
