sense :: hearing // metro connection

So I’m in the office today, sitting at a cluttered and cramped desk in my “other” office, although I don’t really have my own space here. I generally just sit where someone might happen to be out of the office that day; so I just find a place to drop my laptop and plug it in. Yum. It’s not horrible though, I don’t particularly have a great deal of werk to do-in fact, I don’t really have much of anything to do, and it’s already afternoon here. Not that I’m complaining. I’m perfectly happy not having anything significant to do over here-it was hard enough to wake up this morning that having a heaping helping of work to do wasn’t something I was looking forward to. So a slow Monday before the holiday is definitely a pleasant thing.

I’m seriously hoping that the day goes by quickly; aside from the lack of work to do, I want nothing more than to get out of the dungeon office and into the sunlight a bit, go home and take a nap, something other than sit here. I suppose it’s just because I’m a bit bored.

So yeah, as I mentioned over at Aeria Gloris, I recieved my diploma in the mail last week, making a grand total of three pieces of sheepskin that I own. I’ll probably give it to my parents; they derive much more pleasure in hanging my academic accomplishments on the wall than I do. Now I just need to recoup a bit, find a job that’ll facilitate some additional research, and find a nice doctoral program to get into.

I was planning to wax nostalgic and philosophical, but the day grows long and I’m a tad weary. Came to bed a little too late last night for my tastes. But I’ll get back to you, I promise. In the meantime though, I need more sleep.

Thank you! (I actually did take a nap last night)

And the same wishes to you on this holiday! I hope you’re having a good time…and that it’s at least a little less overcast than here. ^^
