sense :: sight // rising waters

I have to give a happy and hearty shout out to Pastilla for going through with her 100 breakfast cereals in 100 days project. Absolutely amazing. Pastilla, I’m going to have to send this to BoingBoing and send you up on Digg, you realize this, don’t you? Absolutely amazing!

By the by, a shame about the Special K yogurt thinger…the commercials make it look so good. For the uninitiated, let me give you a snippet of text that made me fall in love all over again:

Yes, eating Golden Temple’s Strawberry/Raspberry Low-fat Organic Oat Granola brings you that much closer to the streets of Fallujah. Unanaesthetized childbirth on a streetcorner in the middle of a firefight in Fallujah, that is. Guaranteed to allign you with human suffering throughout the ages, and leave you a deeper, more spiritual person.

Without a shadow of a doubt, I must try this cereal, if only to know true pain.

Ha! Ha! Just as long as those Dubyas don’t find me . . . I’m a left wing cereal eater.

(Note: the Special K with Strawberries is actually very yummy. It’s the low-carb Special K and the Fruit & Yogurt blend that both have the wood chip flakes).

: If they find you, they find me too!

Come to think of it, if they made a Dubya-cereal, I’d probably buy a bunch of them. I’m sure they’d make excellent effigy-burning kindling. 🙂
