ebayed laptops and such

sense :: taste // cold cut sammich

You know, I’m never getting rid of a computer without either removing the hard drive for formatting it a couple of dozen times over and writing random data to the hard drive. I’m not saying I have horribly incriminating material on any of my computers, but the last thing I (or anyone else for that matter should) want to end up like is this poor guy.

In other news, I think this is a great use for an old Mac, although I would have used an older one than that, personally.

In other not totally related news, I’ve definitely been lacking in things to write on several fronts as of late. I’ve been trying to come up with interesting or compelling things to say, and failing miserably. I suppose everyone’s got to run out of things to say every now and again, and while I could blame it on being tired and not having enough hours in the day, or blame it on how draining and soul-sucking my job is, but that wouldn’t really be completely accurate. All of those things are true, without a shadow of a doubt, but the memorial day weekend was as relaxing as a long weekend could possibly be, and I was happy to have it, and happy now to have a short werk week.

Maybe something will come to me soon. I have plenty of thoughts scurrying around my head, like how wonderful it is to live in “the future,” and how it’s still “the future” even though we don’t really think it is, or how much I love listening to podcasts, but none of those are really coherent thoughts I really should be writing about.

Who knows. I think I’ll have some tea and hope my thoughts will coalesce.

    What a mess that unscrupulous 19-year-old eBay-er brought on himself!

    re: creative lull ::passes you a cooler and a 2-day suitcase:: Sounds like you need . . . a . . .whirlwind . . . adventure!

    Seriously-the poor guy really ought to have wiped that drive or removed it prior to selling it on eBay…I almost feel bad for the guy. 🙁 It’s a risk he ran, and he rolled zeros when he wound up selling to someone who was comfortable enough putting his whole life up for the world to see. Yikes. 🙁

    I think you’re right though-I think I feel an adventure coming on!
